13-year-old girl killed in moped crash with truck

A 13-year-old girl died after the moped she was riding on collided with a truck in Feldbach on Wednesday afternoon, ORF reported. Her 15-year-old sister, who was driving, was slightly injured.

The sisters were travelling towards Mühldorf while the truck was heading in the opposite direction. The truck driver began turning left after allowing an oncoming car to pass and appears to have failed to see the moped.

The girls fell when the vehicles collided, and the 13-year-old was thrown beneath the truck. She died at the scene despite first aid.
