Moped car crashes into tree after driver loses consciousness

A 71-year-old man and an 85-year-old passenger were injured when his moped car crashed into a tree near Villach on Tuesday, ORF reported.

The driver, from Villach, lost consciousness while travelling towards the city on the Gödersdorfer state road (L 51), police said. The vehicle crossed into the oncoming lane and went into woodland before hitting a tree.

Both occupants were taken to Villach Hospital with injuries of unspecified severity. The moped car was badly damaged.
