Former state finance councillor to join Lower Austrian insurer

Former Lower Austrian finance councillor Ludwig Schleritzko is set to become a board member of the Niederösterreichische Versicherung, an insurance company, by the end of 2027, ORF reported. The company announced a series of management changes as managing director Stefan Jauk prepares to move to Raiffeisen in May 2027.

Thomas Wild will join the insurer’s board on November 1, alongside Jauk and board director Patrick Lachmann. Schleritzko will join at the same time as general representative for sales, with power of attorney, and is due to become sales director at the end of 2027. Board director Stefan Wukovitsch will leave at the end of October at his own request.

Jauk is expected to succeed Erwin Hameseder in May 2027 as chairman of Raiffeisen-Holding Niederösterreich-Wien and supervisory board chair of Raiffeisenlandesbank Niederösterreich-Wien. His successor as managing director of the insurance company has not yet been decided.

Wild has been a divisional head for many years and has served on the company’s extended management team. Schleritzko left state politics for the private sector in autumn 2025, joining Raiffeisen. As managing director of insurance brokerage group Aktuell, the 47-year-old was most recently responsible for sales, among other duties. The appointments are subject to approval by the Financial Market Authority.
