Ex-partner of Graz influencer charged with murder

The Graz public prosecutor’s office has indicted a 31-year-old Slovenian man for murder and disturbing the peace of the dead, ORF reported Monday. He is accused of killing his former partner, a well-known Graz influencer, in her apartment by choking her and inflicting stab and cut wounds.
Prosecutors allege that the man killed the 31-year-old in Graz on November 23, 2025. He then allegedly forced her body into a suitcase, took it to Slovenia and buried it there.
The man has not admitted to the killing, according to the prosecution, but has acknowledged transporting and burying the body. No trial date has been set. If convicted, he faces between 10 and 20 years in prison, with a life sentence also possible.
Investigations into brother and stepfather dropped
Investigations into the defendant’s brother and stepfather have been dropped. They were suspected of helping the 31-year-old transport and bury the body, but no evidence was found that the two Slovenian citizens had assisted him in Austria.
Acts carried out in Slovenia fall under that country’s jurisdiction. Slovenian prosecutors are examining whether to open criminal proceedings.
