Driver injured after car hits guardrail near Nenzing

A 41-year-old driver was injured after his car left the road on the L190 near Nenzing on Monday morning, ORF reported.

The driver was travelling towards Bludenz at about 6.30am when he lost control of the vehicle for reasons that remain unclear. The car crossed the opposite lane and entered an adjoining meadow, where it hit a guardrail and then struck a raised road boundary before coming to rest on its side on the road.

Police said the driver suffered injuries of unspecified severity. He had already been freed from the vehicle when the Nenzing fire brigade arrived.

The fire brigade closed the L190 to recover the vehicle and clear the road. Traffic was completely blocked for about an hour before being directed past the crash site in alternating directions.
