Burgenland ranked first nationwide for the quality of doctors’ training for the third consecutive time, ORF reports.
The Austrian Medical Chamber has surveyed doctors in training four times, asking them anonymously to assess the quality of their education. More than 300 doctors in Burgenland took part in this year’s survey, conducted by the chamber in cooperation with the Swiss university ETH.
Burgenland also ranked first in half of the individual categories, including learning culture, leadership culture and error culture.
Christian Toth, president of the Burgenland Medical Chamber, said the result confirmed the quality of work in the region’s hospitals and teaching practices. Styria and Salzburg followed Burgenland in the training ranking.
