Hunter seriously injured in fall on Krippenstein

A 42-year-old hunter was seriously injured after falling in rough terrain on the Krippenstein mountain plateau in the Gmunden district on Saturday, ORF reported.
The man, from the Ried im Innkreis district, fell about one kilometre east of the Heilbronner Kreuz after a rock gave way. His 39-year-old companion, also from the Ried im Innkreis district, called emergency services.
A rescue helicopter winched both men to safety and flew them to Schladming Hospital, police said.
The two men had been hunting near Neualm and planned to spend the night in a shelter. They were both well equipped.
