Parked car rolls into firefighting pond in Schweiggers

A parked car rolled into a firefighting pond in Schweiggers in the Zwettl district on Friday evening, ORF reported. The vehicle apparently began moving on its own, possibly because of a technical fault.

The Zwettl-Stadt fire brigade was called shortly before 6 p.m. to support firefighters in Schweiggers. Crews pumped out enough water for three firefighters wearing waders to enter the pond.

They then used a crane to lift the car from the pond and load it onto a private recovery trailer. No one was inside the vehicle and nobody was injured.
