Fire in Hohenems injures one person

One person was injured in a fire in Hohenems on Friday evening, ORF reported. Emergency services launched a large-scale operation after reports that someone might still be inside the building.
Fire and rescue control services said firefighters were alerted at about 7.15 p.m. to a multi-storey residential building. The basement was reportedly filled with smoke, and there were concerns that a person remained inside.
The building was evacuated and everyone was brought to safety. Police said one person sustained injuries of unspecified severity. The fire was confined to the point where it started, and firefighters declared it extinguished at about 7.50 p.m.
Fire crews from Hohenems, Mäder and Altach attended the operation.
