A 21-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured after crashing into the rear of a car that had stopped in Möderbrugg in the Murtal district on Tuesday, ORF reported.
The crash happened at about 12:35 p.m. on the federal road between Pöls and Hohentauern. A 73-year-old driver had stopped in the built-up area of Möderbrugg to allow oncoming traffic to pass before turning left.
The motorcyclist, travelling on the same road, failed to see the stationary car and hit its rear. The force of the collision threw him over the car, and he landed on its bonnet.
Passers-by provided first aid until emergency services arrived. The man was then taken to the hospital in Judenburg with serious injuries. The car driver was not hurt.
