ORF Wien reports that sales have begun for the luxury residential project on the site of the former Leiner building on Vienna’s Mariahilfer Straße. The initial “secret sale” phase allows prospective buyers to register interest in around 200 condominiums and investment apartments.

The property was previously known as Lamarr, the unfinished department store project of René Benko’s collapsed Signa group. In July, it was given a new brand name, Grand Museum Residences.

Stefan Zöser, managing director of Stumpf Development, said at the time that the project had attracted strong interest and hundreds of registrations. The project is being developed by the Stumpf Real Estate Group and marketed by EHL Wohnen and Immobilien Funk.

The general sales launch is planned for the end of 2026. The structural shell, including the topping-out ceremony, is scheduled for mid-2027.

An agreement with the City of Vienna also requires a publicly accessible, landscaped rooftop terrace.
