Fallen tree cuts power to 265 households in Vorarlberg

A fallen tree caused a temporary power outage affecting 265 households in Bildstein and Schwarzach on Monday morning, ORF reported, citing Vorarlberg Netz.

The outage began at about 6.20 a.m., according to Johannes Hofer of Vorarlberg Netz. Around 220 households had their power restored shortly after 7 a.m., while the remaining customers were reconnected after 8 a.m.

The tree fell onto a power line. It is now being removed, and any damage to the line may still need to be repaired. Until then, the households are being supplied by switching to neighbouring power networks, Hofer said.
