Burgenland, waste disposal, waste fees

The Burgenland Waste Association (BMV) will adjust its tariffs from 2027, following a decision at its association meeting, ORF reported. The increases will be minimal or slight, according to the BMV.

For households with a 120-litre residual waste bin emptied 13 times a year, the fee will rise by 1.61 euros per month. The annual fee will therefore be 116.16 euros. The paper recycling bin will remain free of charge.

The fee for an 80-litre organic waste bin emptied 26 times a year will increase by 1.03 euros per month, bringing the annual charge to 72.74 euros, according to the BMV.

The association said the adjustment was necessary “to ensure reliable and high-quality waste disposal in the future”. Its fees had not increased since 2003.
