Car overturns after driver swerves to avoid wildlife in Upper Austria

Three people suffered minor injuries after a car overturned in Pettenbach, Kirchdorf district, overnight, ORF reported. The 20 year old driver lost control while swerving to avoid an animal, sending the vehicle off the L562 road towards Ried im Traunkreis.

The car overturned and came to rest in a maize field about 100 metres from the road. The driver was travelling with a 21 year old woman from Gmunden district and a 22 year old man from Wels Land district.

Occupants of a following vehicle helped the three people out and provided first aid. All three were taken to Pyhrn Eisenwurzen Hospital in Kirchdorf with minor injuries.
