Truck overturns on A2 near Villach, causing long traffic jam

A semi-trailer truck overturned on the A2 motorway near Villach-Warmbad on Saturday afternoon, causing a kilometre-long traffic jam during a busy travel weekend, ORF reported. The truck landed on the opposite carriageway, temporarily closing the entire motorway.

The vehicle was carrying refrigerated goods, which had to be transferred. Several fire brigades were at the scene, and disruptions continued into the evening.

The cause of the accident was not yet known.
