ORF to broadcast Klangwolke and Brucknerfest live

ORF Upper Austria will broadcast the Linzer Klangwolke and the opening of the International Brucknerfest live across several channels, ORF reported.
The 2026 Linzer Klangwolke, titled ATTheENDLinz, explores major issues of the present, including social upheaval, the climate crisis, war and peace. Director Felix Breisach has created a journey through Linz in which the Danube serves as the central stage.
ORF Radio Oberösterreich will broadcast the Klangwolke on September 12 from 7 p.m. The event will also be available on ORF ON from 8.30 p.m.
The opening of the International Brucknerfest will follow on the morning of September 13 at the Brucknerhaus. Austrian writer Maja Haderlap will deliver the festival address.
The Upper Austrian Youth Symphony Orchestra will provide the music under the direction of Swedish conductor Kajsa Boström. The programme includes a world premiere by Linz composer Thomas Doss, music by Ture Rangström and Bruckner’s orchestration of the first movement of Beethoven’s Pathétique Sonata. Baritone Rafael Fingerlos will again perform as soloist.
The Brucknerfest opening will be broadcast across Upper Austria on ORF 2 and ORF ON from 10.30 a.m. on September 13.
