Mountain biker seriously injured in Oberdrosen forest crash

A mountain biker was seriously injured in a crash in a forest near Oberdrosen in the Jennersdorf district on Saturday morning, ORF reported. He was flown to hospital by emergency helicopter.

The accident happened on a steep forest path near the Austria-Hungary-Slovenia tri-border area. The Red Cross provided initial treatment.

Before the injured man could be taken to the helicopter, rescue workers had to carry him up a partly steep forest track. Firefighters from Oberdrosen and Tauka carried out the task.
