Vorarlberg Ried closes to cars for Sunday cycling event

The Ried between Lustenau, Dornbirn and Lauterach will be reserved for cyclists on Sunday, ORF reports. The Rad-Ried-Tag will include the closing event of the Radius cycling competition and a group bike ride.
The L41 Senderstraße will be closed in both directions from 10.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. between the L41 Scheibenstraße junction in Lustenau and the Wolfurt Lauterach interchange. Detours will be in place. Agricultural vehicles, local residents and cyclists will be exempt from the ban.
The plan b municipalities of Bregenz, Hard, Kennelbach, Lauterach, Lochau, Lustenau, Schwarzach and Wolfurt are inviting people to cycle, walk and celebrate in the car free Ried. A bicycle service station will offer free checks and minor repairs.
Participants will meet at 10.30 a.m. in Lauterach outside the Bruno Pezzey station and at the church square in Lustenau. The group ride to the festival site will begin at 11 a.m. and follow car free roads through Lauterach, Wolfurt, Dornbirn and Lustenau.
