Two men suspected of stealing two cars and breaking into a petrol station in Liechtenstein have been arrested in Salzburg, ORF reported. Police said the suspects took cash and a small safe, among other items.

Liechtenstein police said Friday that the men were stopped on Monday in Salzburg while travelling in a stolen vehicle. They are suspected of committing a series of offences across the principality.

At about 3 a.m. on Monday, the suspects allegedly broke into a garage in Balzers, stealing a vehicle and its number plates. They drove to another vehicle company, left the stolen car there and took another vehicle.

They then drove to a petrol station in Vaduz and allegedly broke in at about 3.40 a.m. The stolen cash and safe were later found in Mauren.

The two suspects were arrested in Salzburg later that day during the search operation.
