Suspect arrested after shots fired during Bregenz petrol station robbery attempt

Police have arrested an 18-year-old suspect after he allegedly tried to rob a petrol station in Bregenz and fired several shots from a blank-firing pistol, ORF reported.

The incident happened at about 11 p.m. on Thursday. According to police, the man fired several times in the station’s outdoor area.

Officers arrested the suspect shortly after the incident. The State Criminal Police Office is investigating the circumstances of the attempted robbery.
