Three injured in bus and car collision in Ybbsitz

Three people were injured when a car collided with a regular bus in Ybbsitz in the Amstetten district on Thursday, ORF reported. The car’s driver suffered serious injuries and was flown to hospital by emergency helicopter.
The crash happened in the morning on the B22. The impact was so severe that the car’s engine was thrown from the vehicle, the Amstetten district fire brigade command said.
Police said two bus passengers suffered minor injuries. The driver was flown by Christophorus 15 to Amstetten State Hospital. The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
Firefighters also reported a second bus crash in the district on Thursday. A bus and a car collided in Amstetten, and one person had to be freed from a vehicle.
