Alcohol-impaired 18-year-old hits roadside bollard in Andelsbuch

An 18-year-old driver hit a roadside bollard in Andelsbuch shortly after midnight on Wednesday, sending his car into a spin, ORF reported. The vehicle came to a stop about 50 metres later.
The accident happened at around 12:30 a.m. for an as-yet unknown reason, when the car collided with the bollard. It came to rest directly outside the fire station.
Firefighters from Andelsbuch cared for the driver until emergency medical services arrived. Police said he appeared not to have been injured, but he was taken to Dornbirn Hospital for further assessment.
A breathalyser test was positive. Police temporarily confiscated the 18-year-old’s driving licence.
