SK Bischofshofen to release players without transfer fees

SK Bischofshofen, a football club from Salzburg’s Pongau region, is expected to allow its players to leave without transfer fees, according to ORF Salzburg. The Salzburg Football Association has circulated a resolution to that effect.

Written approvals from the association’s board members are expected by Wednesday evening. The club has been barred from taking part in the championship after lengthy disputes and because it lacks a playing venue.

All of Bischofshofen’s players, including its youth players, have nevertheless remained formally tied to the club. That binding is due to be lifted from Wednesday evening.
