Driver caught at 154 km/h with forged Bulgarian licence

Police in Traiskirchen, a municipality in Baden district, stopped a 31-year-old driver late on Sunday after he was caught speeding with a forged Bulgarian driving licence, ORF reported. The man will be reported to prosecutors and the district authority.

A police patrol noticed the driver in the city of Baden because he was travelling too fast and driving erratically. He allegedly crossed solid lines, changed lanes repeatedly without apparent reason and without signalling, and exceeded the speed limits on the open road towards Oeynhausen.

At an intersection on the B210 road, the driver travelled at 154 km/h in a 70 km/h zone. Police confiscated the forged licence and seized the car, according to the Lower Austria state police directorate.
