Fire engulfs farm buildings in Upper Styria

A major fire engulfed a farm in Trofaiach in the Leoben district on Saturday, prompting about 90 firefighters from several brigades to respond, ORF reported. No one was injured.

When emergency crews arrived, a farm utility building, another farm building and several vehicles were already fully ablaze. A diesel tank was also affected, and the column of smoke was visible from a long distance.

The fire spread quickly, but its point of origin remains unclear. Investigators from the State Criminal Police Office were still working to determine the cause on Sunday. No people or animals were injured.

The firefighters tackled the blaze with 22 vehicles and also used a drone. The Red Cross attended as a precaution with three vehicles.
