Rescuers free dice snake trapped in house blind

A dice snake was rescued from an exterior blind in Hart bei Graz after becoming trapped, ORF reported. The Berg and Nature Watch was called to the unusual operation on Friday.

The snake was unharmed and released at a suitable location with a flowing body of water nearby, according to the organisation.

It remains unclear how the non-venomous and harmless snake became caught in the blind. Dice snakes prefer warm conditions and are relatively rare in Central Europe, although they occur in Styria.
