Police arrest man after 13 cars damaged in Wolfratshausen

Police arrested a 24 year old man after 13 parked cars were damaged overnight in Wolfratshausen in Upper Bavaria, BR reported. The reason for the incident remains unclear.

Police received a report shortly before midnight that an unknown person was vandalising parked cars on Margeritenstraße. Several patrols were sent to the scene.

The man fled when officers arrived but was caught shortly afterwards. Police said he resisted arrest and had to be restrained.

The 24 year old suffered a cut to his arm while damaging the vehicles and was taken to hospital.

Police found damage to 13 vehicles, including kicked off mirrors and smashed windows. The German national faces possible charges including criminal damage and resisting law enforcement officers. Police have asked witnesses and vehicle owners affected to come forward.
