86-year-old man dies after Linz traffic crash

An 86-year-old man has died after his car left the road and crashed into a tree in Linz on Monday morning, ORF reported.

The crash happened shortly after 11 a.m. on Freistädter Straße. According to witnesses, the local resident’s car veered off the road to the right, drove up an embankment and hit a tree. The vehicle overturned and came to rest on its roof.

The driver was initially conscious but lost consciousness during medical treatment and had to be resuscitated. He was taken under emergency medical supervision to Kepler University Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
