Medical emergency sends car into Illmitz vineyard

A car left the road in Illmitz, in Neusiedl am See district, on Sunday afternoon and came to rest in a vineyard after the driver suffered a medical emergency, ORF reported.

The Illmitz fire brigade was called to the scene on Seestraße at 3:25 p.m. The car broke through two rows of vines before stopping.

Emergency medical crews treated the driver before taking him to Eisenstadt Hospital by medical helicopter.

To recover the vehicle, firefighters removed an iron post.
