Italy arrests Colombian woman sought by Salzburg authorities

Italian police have arrested a 52-year-old Colombian woman wanted in Salzburg on suspicion of being a professional thief, ORF reported.

Carabinieri detained the woman at a shopping centre in Roncadelle, a city in northern Italy. They found that the Salzburg public prosecutor’s office had issued an arrest warrant against her.

She is suspected of aggravated theft, taking payment instruments and misappropriating documents. The woman is being held in Italy.

A decision on her extradition from the Verziano prison to Salzburg is expected soon.
