S1 to close completely on two weekends

The S1 Vienna Outer Ring Expressway will face traffic restrictions at the Korneuburg interchange in the coming months, including two full weekend closures, ORF reported on Monday.
Preparatory work will begin next Monday, with several construction phases planned through October 19. Bonaventura Infrastruktur GmbH said the work involves repairing concrete trough structures damaged by frost and de-icing salt.
To limit disruption, at least one lane in each direction will remain open during most of the work.
However, the carriageway towards Eibesbrunn in Mistelbach district will be completely closed from 7 p.m. on Friday, September 25, until 4 a.m. on Monday, September 28. The closure in the direction of Korneuburg will follow from 7 p.m. on Friday, October 16, until 4 a.m. on Monday, October 19.
