Woman dies after knife attack at Rosenheim railway station

A 31-year-old British woman has died after being attacked with a knife at Rosenheim railway station in Upper Bavaria, BR reported. A 27-year-old German man from the Fürstenfeldbruck district was arrested at the scene on suspicion of the attack.

Witnesses called emergency services at about 12.50 a.m. on Sunday to report a seriously injured woman at the station. Federal Police officers arrested the suspect, who is considered urgently suspected of the crime.

Emergency workers took the woman to hospital, where she died during the night.

Rosenheim Criminal Police are investigating on suspicion of a killing. Investigators have not yet determined whether the suspect and the victim knew each other or were in a relationship. Police also declined to comment on whether the attack could be linked to the Rosenheim Autumn Festival, which began on Saturday, or whether the suspect and the victim had been drinking.
