Two men die after car crashes into tree in Steyr-Land

Two young men died in a crash between Ternberg and Steinbach an der Steyr overnight, ORF reported. The 26 year old driver from Adlwang and his 25 year old passenger from Sierning died at the scene despite immediate resuscitation attempts.

At about midnight, the car left the road for an unknown reason on a slight left hand bend. It hit a roadside delineator post, crossed a meadow and then struck a tree sideways near a stream bed.

The men were trapped in the vehicle and had to be freed by firefighters who arrived at the scene.
