Raiffeisenlandesbank Upper Austria reports strong first half

Raiffeisenlandesbank Upper Austria reported pre-tax profit of 846.8 million euros for the first half of 2026 and further strengthened its capital position, ORF Upper Austria reported on Friday.

The bank’s common equity tier 1 ratio rose to 19.6 percent, while its total capital ratio reached 21.1 percent. Financing volume increased to 26.5 billion euros.

Net interest income rose 1.4 percent to 274.5 million euros, while net commission income increased 10.2 percent to 123.5 million euros.

The bank also consolidated its position as Austria’s strongest provider of promotional loans, according to a current banking ranking. It holds a 28 percent market share in aws erp loans, which provide companies with long-term financing on favourable terms.

Strategic projects include the start of construction on the group’s new headquarters in Linz, participation in the European Payments Initiative and the placement of a secured benchmark bond.

For the second half of 2026, Raiffeisenlandesbank Upper Austria expects stable development despite a challenging economic environment. It said investment in digitalisation, sustainable infrastructure and modern payment solutions would remain a priority.
