Five-year-old boy injured in two-metre playground fall

A five-year-old boy suffered serious injuries after apparently falling two metres from climbing equipment at a playground on Wolfersberg in Vienna’s Penzing district on Thursday evening, ORF reported.

The boy injured his shoulder and arm, a spokesperson for Vienna’s professional ambulance service said on Friday. Because of suspected internal injuries, emergency medical treatment was provided before he was flown to hospital by rescue helicopter.
