A freight train derailed near Vienna Central Station on Wednesday, disrupting rail services, ORF Vienna reported. Services between Central Station and Gramatneusiedl station will run with restrictions until the end of operations at 11.59 p.m., according to Austrian Federal Railways, or ÖBB.

The incident happened at about 11.30 a.m. An empty passenger train brushed against the freight train, an ÖBB spokesman told ORF Vienna. The freight train then came off the tracks and the passenger train was damaged.

No one was injured. The cause of the incident was not yet known.

ÖBB has arranged replacement buses between Gramatneusiedl station in Lower Austria and Vienna Central Station. Buses are currently operating instead of REX 63 and REX 64 trains.

Passengers should expect journeys to take up to 30 minutes longer, ÖBB said.
