The bathing ban at the Lutzmannsburg bathing pond in the Oberpullendorf district has been lifted, ORF reported on Tuesday.

Control tests found no further elevated levels of blue-green algae, the Burgenland state media service said.

The bathing pond in St. Margarethen in the Eisenstadt-Umgebung district remains closed because it is contaminated with coliform bacteria.

Bathing is also permitted again at the small bathing lake in Markt St. Martin, which had been closed since late July because of coliform bacteria. Control tests led to its reopening on August 7.
