Man seriously injured after crane overturns in Upper Austria

A man was seriously injured after a crane apparently overturned in Meggenhofen in Grieskirchen district on Wednesday, ORF Upper Austria reported. The Red Cross said the man was trapped beneath the crane.

Firefighters from Meggenhofen, Wilhelmsberg and Aistersheim were alerted at 10:51 a.m. The emergency call referred to a person trapped under a vehicle or machine.

Firefighters and the Red Cross responded in force, while a crisis intervention team was also sent to the scene. Further details about the accident were not immediately available.
