Firefighters rescue drunk man after video call goes silent

Firefighters entered a home through a balcony in Grassau in Upper Bavaria’s Traunstein district after a man stopped responding during a video conference, BR reported. They found the 60-year-old asleep and heavily intoxicated on his couch.

The man had stopped responding during the online meeting on Tuesday afternoon and eventually moved away from the screen. His colleagues were unable to reach him by other means and called for help because they could not rule out a medical emergency.

The man was taken to hospital as a precaution.
