Car flees after close pass leaves e-bike rider injured

A 56-year-old e-bike rider suffered injuries to her eye and hand after a car passed her too closely in Lauterach, ORF reported. The driver left the scene despite her fall.
Police said the crash happened on Friday, August 14, at about 1:45 p.m. on Langegasse, heading towards Wolfurt. The woman said the car came so close and its engine revved so loudly that she was startled, jerked the handlebars and fell.
Police in Lauterach are seeking witnesses. They can be contacted on 059133/8132.
