House and barn catch fire on farm in St. Koloman

A house and a barn are fully ablaze on a farm in St. Koloman in Salzburg’s Tennengau district, ORF reported on Tuesday. Firefighters have declared alert level three.

Fire crews from St. Koloman, Bad Vigaun and Hallein are currently at the scene. The fire reportedly broke out in Taugl, a district of St. Koloman.

Because the burning buildings are believed to be at a relatively high elevation, firefighters have set up a relay water line, according to a fire service spokesman. The system transports water from a distant collection point over long distances or significant changes in elevation.
