S Bahn train evacuated after power outage near Kremsmünster

Ten passengers were evacuated from an S Bahn train near Kremsmünster on Monday after a damaged power mast cut electricity to the railway line, ORF reported. No one was injured.

The passengers spent about 90 minutes on the train before leaving under the guidance of firefighters. The train was unable to continue between Rohr and Wartberg after the mast was damaged in a traffic accident.

ÖBB has arranged replacement bus services on the affected route. The railway line is expected to remain closed until midnight while repairs are carried out. Replacement services on the Pyhrn line will also continue until then.
