Police seek suspect after armed supermarket robbery in Krems

An armed man robbed a supermarket in Krems on Monday evening, ORF reported. He allegedly pulled a silver revolver from a shoulder bag while paying, threatened an employee and demanded cash. No one was injured.

The robbery took place at about 6:15 p.m. at a supermarket on Wiener Straße. The suspect escaped with an unknown amount of money. The employee was not injured but suffered shock, police said.

Police described the suspect as 1.75 to 1.80 metres tall, slim and aged about 30 to 40. He has short white-grey hair and a three-day beard. At the time, he was wearing sunglasses, a cap and a yellow and white T-shirt with a green emblem. He was carrying a black shoulder bag.
