Police identify driver and passenger after hit-and-run in Fußach

ORF reported that police have identified a 23-year-old driver and his passenger after a hit-and-run crash in Fußach on Thursday left a 60-year-old woman injured.

The 23-year-old was driving towards Hard with stolen number plates when he moved onto the opposite lane to overtake several vehicles, police said. Near a petrol station, he collided with the woman’s car as she turned left into the station.

The driver and his passenger then fled the scene on foot, according to police. Investigators later identified both of them.

The 60-year-old driver was injured to an unspecified extent.
