Driver hits parked car, sign and power box in Hohenems

A 40-year-old driver was injured after crashing into a parked car, a road sign and a power box in Hohenems early Thursday, ORF Vorarlberg reported. He was taken to hospital.
The crash happened shortly after midnight on Lustenauerstraße, the L 203 road, as the man was travelling towards Altach. His car left the road for unknown reasons and hit a vehicle parked in a car park.
The car then spun into the road sign and power box, tearing the box from its anchoring. Police said the crash caused significant damage to the vehicles and infrastructure.
The driver refused an alcohol test, according to police, and will be reported to the district authority. The road was closed for about two hours during the clean-up operation.
