SRF opens live Q&A on hiking in the mountains

SRF is inviting readers to submit questions about hiking in the mountains, with answers provided live from 10:30 a.m. to noon by mountain guide Christian Andermatt and outdoor reporter Marcel Hähni.

The discussion will cover how to turn a planned hike into a successful experience, what equipment belongs in a backpack, and how to assess routes, weather and fitness. The experts will also address dangers that hikers often underestimate along the way.

Andermatt is head of training and a mountain guide for the Swiss Alpine Club. Hähni is an editor, producer and outdoor reporter for SRF 1 and is trained as a hiking and snowshoe hiking guide.
