JUFA Hotels to take over Schloss Gamlitz

JUFA Hotels will take over operations at Schloss Gamlitz, a castle venue in southern Styria, from September 1, ORF reported on Wednesday. The group will operate the venue in coordination with its owner, Arnold Melcher.

All existing bookings for weddings and other events will remain valid, including advance payments and room reservations, JUFA Hotels said. The announcement follows the insolvency of Domaines Kilger Schloss Gamlitz Betriebs GmbH in April, which had raised doubts about the venue’s future.

JUFA also plans to expand the castle’s wine shop. It previously stocked only wines from Domaines Kilger, but will now make space for wines from all winemakers in Gamlitz.
