Burglars steal thousands from St. Veit indoor pool

Unidentified burglars broke into the indoor swimming pool in St. Veit an der Glan overnight and stole several thousand euros in cash, ORF reported.

The break-in took place between midnight and 1:30 a.m. on Sunday. The perpetrators forced open the bistro’s sliding door and several internal doors, searched drawers in the counter area and took coins. They then searched the basement, removed a safe and broke into another safe in the pool’s cashier area.

Cleaning staff discovered the break-in early Sunday and alerted police. Officers secured evidence from the scene, while investigators hope video footage will provide further clues.
