Driver follows navigation too early and ends up in stream

A 43-year-old woman drove her car into a stream in Ruhpolding, in Traunstein district, while travelling with her children at night, BR24 reported. All the occupants were uninjured, police said.
The woman was following her navigation system when it instructed her to turn left. According to police, she followed the instruction too early and failed to turn onto the intended road.
She drove onto a company premises before the car ended up in the stream. A towing company had to recover the vehicle. The damage was estimated at 10,000 euros.
Another navigation-related incident
The case follows a similar incident about two weeks earlier, when a 78-year-old driver was directed by his navigation system onto a footpath in the Upper Bavarian Alps. His car became stuck on a narrow bridge and had to be removed in a complex operation that took four hours, according to the fire service.
