A 26-year-old dumper driver was injured in a work accident in Haus in the Liezen district on Friday afternoon after the vehicle left a forest road and overturned, ORF reported. A breathalyser test was positive.

The man had been transporting gravel and earth from a storage area to a construction site at a hotel complex. After several trips, the dumper’s right rear wheel left the forest road. The vehicle overturned and came to rest in a car park about 30 metres below the road.

The driver managed to leave the cab before the vehicle overturned. The Red Cross took him to hospital for medical assessment. Police temporarily confiscated his driving licence.
